ProloGue: First Flight
A new magical school year… A new magical student…
Werewolf Raven Zodrow, daughter of the most powerful werewolf alive; Aaron Zodrow, was about to start her first year at Off-White’s academy for the magical Gifted, where her life would drastically change… forever.
White’s academy for the magical Gifted was one of the best schools in whole Aeternum and was perched on a giant overgrown island. To reach it, one had to go by boat. It was a stormy night when the cargo of students reached the less than pleasant docks. Mr. Taalon, a short and grumpy looking man dressed in black robes with an owl-like face was waiting for them there, holding a lantern. Next to him stood a more elegant and colorful Miss. Dreay, keeping herself dry using some kind of spell.
After a short introduction, they lead the students to a nearby teleportation circle where they were transported near the training fields near the castle.
Once inside the impressive castle, the students were led through the beautifully decorated halls to the great hall. When the doors to the great hall opened, it revealed five long tables. Four standing parallel to each other for the students, and one adjacent/opposite to the four for the Professors. At the head of the table stood a throne-like chair for the head of the school: Mister Off-White.

Immediately Raven could feel the back of her hairs stand up at his scrutinizing gaze. Something was off. He was way too interested, observing and somehow he gave off an unwanted vibe. One message became clear to Raven: 'Watch your back.’
The students had to walk towards the stairs where Miss. Draey removed a golden cloth, revealing a one of a kind antique standing mirror. The mirror of houses. Golden miniature dragons, cockatrices, unicorns and phoenixes decorated the mirror like the great hall was decorated with flags of them. One by one, the students (sorted by name) had to go up and stand in front of the mirror. The mirror would then reveal their house by showing the mascot of the house, but uniquely tailored to fit the soul of the student.

When Raven was called to be sorted, the mirror revealed a black sinister looking cockatrice with vibrant red eyes.
Now seated at the Cockatrice table, she met two second years. A tempest named Iridescence and a fire mage named Eon. Twins weirdly enough. Raven appreciated their friendliness due to feeling uneasy in such a giant crowd. This was her first time being so... surrounded. It felt like she couldn't breathe. Another shady cockatrice first-year named Regan offered to help her out. All he wanted later was a favor in return. Raven accepted and as his leopard shaped shadow overtook hers, she suddenly found herself in the dorms of her year.
Raven went to find a dorm already and when the other years joined after the feast, it was revealed that she would be joined by the necromancer Regan, a second year combat seer named Clarence and his husky brother Rasco.
Raven and her snow owl familiar Ombra quickly befriended the two brothers. Regan was almost never present at the dorm however. Not even at night.
Clarence went to reassure Raven after noticing she felt distressed. She felt caged. He reassured her that she was free to enter the garden and forest at any time she wanted. Raven was relieved to hear that and went to visit the garden later that night after she witnessed something that caught her off-guard. When she was washing her face that night, she swore she could’ve seen a shadowy figure behind her. The figure of a wolf? But when she turned around, it was gone...
The next day was an open day were students got to navigate the castle and the various classes they were going to need to attend. Everything was fine until the duelist class. A third year dragon student; Fire mage; Piérre, was dueling a water mage. He was quite proud of his accomplishment and was boasting in the given glory. Upon daring others to duel him (he did not expect any of the first years to accept), Raven accepted. The sudden confident Piérre suddenly wasn't as confident when raven bared her fangs in a half-werewolf form. As a dragon however, he could not go back on his words.
The hollering of the crowd and heat of the flames caused Raven to become a bit too excited which led her to lose control, causing her to break a powerful spell that burst into an explosion. Raven chose to protect Piérre from the shower of his own flames, earning her his trust and loyalty. Another First-Year avoided the attack whilst his best friend Angel got seriously injured. Professor Whirlwood ordered Piérre and Raven to help bring Angel to the hospital wing after being notified of the emergency going on in the dueling hall.
Of course the whole school knew of the accident the next day. As Raven was trying to ignore the stares she was getting, she asked Iridescence and Eon if there were any other werewolves in the school aside from rude, unfriendly and aggressive fellow first-year dragon Cyer. It was revealed that there were four more werewolves in the school. All fourth years.
Natural werewolf Hiro in the house of Phoenix.
Mutated werewolf Hunter in the house of Dragon.
Mutated werewolf Xine in the house of Cockatrice.
Mutated werewolf Jassmine in the house of Unicorn.
Weeks later Raven found out that all the books and information regarding werewolves had been destroyed… a library fire years ago the students had said. And books about werewolves were so incredibly rare… the school simply couldn't afford new ones. Which was... weird. Since when could one of the best schools in Aeternum not afford rare books? Weeks later she also finally got the chance to meet two of the werewolves from the other houses. She was sitting in her dorm when she saw Hiro and Hunter walking through the castle’s lush gardens. Immediately she rushed after them. Stalking them silently maybe wasn't such a good idea however. A shadow in the bushes with red menacing glowing eyes wasn't exactly the most reassuring sight. Hiro and Hunter, defensive and rightfully so, demanded she come out. Raven did. The serious and strict looking and sounding Hiro suddenly became intrigued and friendly when he realized he’d been growling at the daughter of the most powerful werewolf alive. Hunter wasn't as trusting and approving as his leader however, bickering with Raven and snapping at her whenever Hiro didn't shut him up.
Raven became well acquainted with them and the rest of the pack. Hiro was friendly, polite but definitely not a pushover. He could easily put the other pack members back in their place anytime. Even Raven, though he was surprisingly more patient and tolerant.
It became clear to Raven that they were hiding something from her however. She too had her secrets… but she still felt left out. After the so manieth lie, she snapped and escaped to the vast Forest in frustration. Sometime later Hiro joined her side and they talked things out. They were going to be as honest as possible to each other from now on. No more secrets.
Raven was now officially part of the pack.
